Cousin Eleanor arrives!

Friday, 29 December

Cousin Eleanor arrived today! With Aunt Megan and Uncle Colby too, of course. They made the long trip out from California to meet Beatrice. We had a great evening relaxing at home and catching up, as the girls took over.
Watching the two of them together is adorable. Eleanor was constantly checking on "Baby" on our walk to the store - she needed to peer into Beatrice's stroller to check everything was ok. In the pictures below she and Beatrice are playing with rabbit and Eleanor is kissing Beatrice's toes. My favorite though is the picture of Megan burping Beatrice and Eleanor following suit with her own baby doll!

The next two weeks will be fun with them here. It is so nice to have them here, as last night was another rough night. We had to do lots of dancing to work out the cranks in the morning. But we did venture out before Megan, Colby and Eleanor arrived - Beatrice and I went to lunch with my friend Jennifer (adult conversation - yippie!) and even braved Oxford Street to buy some baby supplies (ok, and get a Krispy Kreme doughnut).

Matt and Christina stopped by to visit and meet Beatrice in the afternoon. We all marvelled at Beatrice's growing outfit collection. The child doesn't have mere clothes - she has ensembles! I love this little red PJ suit that Eleanor L sent her (she has so many Eleanors that love her!). It is even monogrammed!

Other than that what else is new? Zack has given Beatrice yet another new moniker, Beat-Rice, a nickname coined by Uncle Graham it seems. I think I like Poop-the-Pooper better. And I spent some time in the evening wondering again just how this little girl fit inside me?? Especially given she is just now back up to her birth weight of 4kg!
