Hey Good Lookin'

Zack decided we should start the morning off with some Jimmy Buffett to get her ready for her first trip to Georgia sometime in the spring. Jimmy was singing Hank Williams' classic, Hey Good Lookin'...it set the tone for the day nicely.

Today was another big day for Beatrice - her first taste of the pacifier (ah...) and her first bath! We decided that since Beatrice has no trouble breastfeeding (she can latch on from about 3 feet away with a running start and has to be forceably removed after each 30minute feed - little Barracuda baby), that a little pacifier every now and then won't lead to nipple confusion. Plus Grandma Elizabeth said it was ok.

It was also time for her first bath, as her umbilical cord stump fell off on Monday and the sponge baths weren't cutting through all the spit up and goo anymore. That and we really wanted to try out the new tub and Elephantastisch towel that we bought her in Germany. So in she went and immediately hated it. Don't worry, we got her all cleaned and dried and warm very quickly, though not quick enough ... she left us a little present in the water!

After her bath we spent a lot of time cooing and bouncing to make up for the whole screaming episode. In the process we figured out how this long and lean little bean fit into my stomach for all those months. Little future yoga instructor...
