Juxtapositions

From a rental ad in Santa Barbara:
"This is a GREEN orientated situation. We only use organic methods in the garden, and compost & recycle. Microwave ovens are not allowed."

From a McDonald's ad:
42oz soft drink 69cents

I'm honestly not sure which scares me more.

In Beatrice-related news, she is so close to crawling (or giving up on it altogether). She gets up on all fours and then ... screams in frustration, because when she does get any movement, it's always backwards away from whatever it is she wants. Last night Zack and I put her to bed, and then had to go back in after she screamed for a bit, only to find her on all fours unable to move. She'd of course rather we let her stand up and walk everywhere holding just our fingers. Great for the back, let me tell you. She's getting much better at this too - only occassionally now looking like an escapee from the Monty Python Ministry of Silly Walks.

.
Sorry no pictures of her still (I think the low res of the above was an exception)...To Do list still stands at: find place to live, buy car, find a pediatrician, pay bills, plan Zack's 30th bday party, find kids for Beatrice to play with, find babysitter so all of the above can actually get done, etc. I promise to try soon!
