Nostalgia

Everytime Zack and I start to get nostalgic in recent weeks about leaving London, something happens that makes us just want to pack our bags, get on a plane, and go. Perhaps it is a coping mechanism. Still it's hard to say that hating standing out in a downpour in 55 degree weather (in late JUNE!@!) is somehow a mental trick to make it easier to leave. What is it with this place? Has the weather always been this bad??
Today we went to The Taste of London in Regent's Park with Jasandra & Jane(www.channel4.com/life/microsites/T/taste/london.html). We had a great time with the two of them, but the event itself was a bit of a letdown, not least because of the horrid weather - cold, raining, and all of the mud. At least we had Pimm's...
The rest of the day we spent hanging around the house packing, moving furniture to the charity shop, packing, cleaning, packing...and watching our Polish builder (above) reinstalling our kitchen door.
Beatrice had a good time, even though the whole business seems to stress her out a bit. Thank goodness the way she deals with her stress seems to be by going to sleep. Why didn't we think of this EARLIER???
