Everytime Beatrice wakes up from a nap she looks around, as she always does, to make sure everything is just as she left it. The problem is now that we're moving - nothing is the same. Today she woke up and checked to make sure Eleanor's picture was on the wall by her bed, as she always does, and then turned around and...OHMIGOD the blue and white striped bed linens in her room weren't there!!! Poor Beatrice. I took her into our room to see the sheets (now on our bed), and she looked at the sheets, then at me, then at the sheets, and then finally at me again with such a quizzical look, as if to say, "Mommy, WHAT are my sheets doing in HERE?"
We had fun with Vicki, our last official visitor in London, who headed back to Paris today. Beatrice particularly enjoyed watching her every move; Zack and I enjoyed having an excellent dinner companion, who was also gracious enough to ignore our huge mess from moving (and brought us fabulous wine!).
In addition to the joys of moving (having to pay $150 to get parking spaces reserved for the day for our movers - !!!), we've started the very sad process of saying goodbye to everyone. Very sad. Beatrice will miss lots of people, but I think she'll particularly miss everyone at Panzer's Market...
She'll also miss little Sofia, her friend. Here's a photo from our lunch at the new Whole Foods in London with Cristina & Sofia, Michelle & little Fito...Sofia is on the left, Beatrice on the right. I paid 9GBP for lunch. That's $18!! London is so expensive. I won't miss that part.
Luckily even if everything changes, we can still entertain our girl with a 70p water bottle...
...and maybe an empty cup.
