Visiting in Georgia

We made it! On Friday the 13th we flew from London to Atlanta. Luckily, Beatrice decided to get everything out of her system before we boarded the plane, so we had a relatively stress-free flight. She slept some and played with her feet LOTS.

Friday night we had dinner with our driver, Uncle Harry...at Chick-Fil-A...yummmmmmm

On Saturday Beatrice had fun getting to know her great-grandparents, Mama & Dada, at their great new house.

And she had visitors galore - her grandparents, her Uncle Graham, Melissa, her great-great Aunt Dot, her second cousins Zane, Kaitlyn, Marshall & Tyler, her great-aunt & uncle Fran & Charles, her great uncle William. Beatrice loved them all, though she especially liked Dot's blouse!

Saturday night was my cousin Zane's wedding. Aunt Kathie babysat for Beatrice. It was a special evening, as I babysat her kids for years, and she and Beatrice share a birthday!

John & Zane had a beautiful wedding...

...and a fabulous reception! It was the first time all of the grandchildren had been able to get together in forever. And you know it's a good party when the dancers have to take their shoes off!! (NB - Zack made me put the picture of me "letting my hair down" on the dance floor. Sorry, Beatrice, your Mom went a bit wild. My poor cousin Marshall put up with it!)

Sunday was also a busy day. We visited Graham at his new place. Beatrice enjoyed her Krispy Kreme hat and more hugs from Melissa. And we visited Kathie at her new place and got to see Lindsay and Hannah!

Monday, we rested at Mama & Dada's...finally!

On Tuesday, we said goodbye to Mama & Dada (sniff, sniff) and headed down to St Simons Island...by way of our friends' Laura & John's house, Harry's shop (www.hgrobertson.com), The Varsity and their onion rings & Frosted Orange (www.thevarsity.com), and lunch with Carolyn, her son Liam & husband Neal near Inman Park. We couldn't resist a quick detour by the old house where I grew up...it's YELLOW! Beatrice did OK in the car on the way to St Simons, but more pictures to come of her beach adventures!
