"Hey!" & lots of giggles - that is how Beatrice met us at the airport. I must admit she was a welcome site after 34 hours of travel!
"Gwanma", "Bill", & Mama & Dada took very good care of Beatrice this last week. A sampling of her new words:
"whoops" (said every 5th word)
"Don Key-oat" (Don Quixote)
"Beethoven"
"One-two-shree-sore" (1-2-3-4)
"Uno-dos-tres"
"Reindeer"
and everytime there is anything of interest..."heeeeyyyyyy..."
They played in the driveway and sat on the porch and watched Barney and read and went to Harris Teeter (grocery store) every afternoon to sample the free ham and cheese and cookies.
And let's not forget "tini time" every afternoon. Beatrice enjoyed her baby tini (olives and water) while the adults enjoyed martinis. I think they needed them! They certainly deserved them.
When we got back we got Beatrice her first haircut. She was a trooper - very interested in the hairdryers that I thought had disappeared in 1985 (see photo)
Beatrice had a wonderful time at Gwanma-Bill's. And Zach and I found we could (sort-of) survive without her. Maybe we should do a week at Gwanma-Bill's every month!?!
