Happy New Year (almost)!

We plan to ring in 2009 ASLEEP!
So we made a quick appearance at Grandpa's house to say Happy New Year and take pictures with his guest of honor, the President-Elect!
Other than that, we helped Nanny settle in her new place and had LOTS of tea and bon bons!

Beatrice has also been enjoying her Nemo doll (3' tall!) from Uncle Graham.  And she and Sarah B went out for a girls lunch out...nachos...yesterday in downtown SF!

Little Farm

Today seemed like a good day to visit the Little Farm, especially as Beatrice has been trying to get into her own little barn for a few days.
She loved it!

We fed the goats and the cows celery and climbed fences to look at the sheep.  We also checked out the bunnies and the chickens, ducks, and geese.  Beatrice kept crowing, "Cocka-rue" - not quite Cockadoddle-do, but close enough.
After Beatrice stuck her hand in to touch the baby cow, she pulled it out laughing, "Baby cow eat Bebe hand!"  So cute.

Time to play!

Beatrice has been enjoying her new toys...all of them!  As with new clothes, Beatrice enjoys trying new things all at once.  Full-body-playing.  We keep having to tell her that she can't actually get in her new barn - she's too big!
We also spent some time outside in the fresh air - Beatrice loves the park up the street, so we trekked up there and met up with Randie, Annabelle and Nathalie.
We also surprised them the day after Christmas with an impromptu invasion of Erika's house - champagne for all (adults)!

Beatrice and I enjoyed a one week reprieve from yard work, but on the day after Christmas, Zack got up and asked, "What do you think about taking a few branches down out back?"  Beatrice was all for it and ran to get her toolset to help.

She was very cute, announcing, "Bebe cut.  Bebe help Daddy.  Cut, cut, cut."

Merry Christmas

Santa came!  Santa came!  Santa came!
Beatrice was very excited that Santa had eaten his cookie and drank his milk.  The rest was bonus.

We went over to Megan, Colby, Eleanor & Anna's house for breakfast and tons of presents.  Luckily the large pink tent is staying at their house!

Then we went back over to our house for Beatrice's nap and to prepare for our sit-down supper for EIGHTEEN people!

We had a great time - I still can't believe we managed to fit 14 adults and 4 kids around our makeshift tables!
Merry Christmas everyone!
