We spent the weekend in San Diego with John and Jasandra. Or as Beatrice calls them, "Don Don" and "Jahs". And boy oh boy does she ever like "Don Don".
We ate like kings, toured their city (some of it drive-by tourism...nothing compared to our Namibian adventure with them, but still, a necessity with Beatrice - I can't wait until she is out of that carseat!), tried on Jas's shoes and tried to steal her handbag, and hung out.
We had lunch (one of many very good meals) on Coronado Island. John and Jas love to go there 1) for the particular breakfast/lunch spot and 2) because they enjoy watching out for all of the quinceanera parties (Latina 15 year old girl birthday parties, where the bday girl dresses up in a huge prom/wedding dress and has all of her friends dress in bridesmaids-like dresses) ... as well as the Asian tourists who take pictures of them. John got a few good shots of the tourists stalking the gaggle of 15 year olds in dresses and tuxes. Beatrice just enjoyed running around.
I wonder who is happier in this picture?
Oh and Beatrice made us all dance in the van. Even 'Don Don'.
