The Little Things

This is going to sound trite (consider yourselves forewarned), but spending time with Beatrice does make you appreciate the little things.  Maybe it's because it is IMPOSSIBLE to do any 'big' things (e.g., start a project, finish a project, contemplate a project) with Beatrice around.
With Beatrice around, you have to take the time to stop and smell the flowers.  All of them.  (By the by, "smelling" them consists of blowing air OUT of your nose to approximate the sound I make of sniffing IN.  Very cute.)  Other 'small' things include - noticing the snails ("sn...sn...") and pointing them out for us to see.

Ewwwww.  And enjoying the baby pool.
And getting to hold Uncle Colby's "Congratulations on graduating business school" card while dressed as Lil'Bo Peep.  (see below)
And RIDING YOUR OWN BIKE!!!!!
And did I mention how good the cold tile feels when you're hot?
And of course, getting to wear SUNGLASSES and playing kissy-face with that adorable baby in the mirror!

There are tons of other little things too.  I think the best are still arm hugs.  Though the running kiss on the lips is pretty good too.  Good or bad (and 99% is good), it does take 100% of your attention.  I guess the little things in life are better enjoyed while not multitasking.  I think that's why I write this AFTER Queen B goes to bed.
