With only 3 to 3.5k miles to go

On Friday morning Ryan and Zack set off to drive our new minivan across the country. They hit Graceland in Memphis on Saturday morning and the plan was to stay at Ryan's parents' house in Illinois on Saturday and Sunday nights. Then 4 days of straight driving to the West, arriving in time to pick Beatrice and me up at the airport on Thursday night. From the updates it sounds like they're having a great time. Don't worry, they can't party too hard though given they have a dollhouse and cradle in the back of ... the MINIVAN. It takes a real man to drive a minivan that far.
Before Daddy left we made it out to the ocean. Beatrice's face says it all.

And everyone has been keeping little Beatrice entertained. Granddad Bill has been singing to her (she loves it)

and Uncle Graham has been playing with Beatrice (and trying to get her to crawl correctly)

and Grandma Elizabeth has been feeding her (green beans, not the beer)

So even though Beatrice has been missing her Daddy, she is keeping in good spirits. Between two grandparents, an uncle, two great-grandparents, a great aunt and uncle, and lots of second cousins - not to mention the random people at the grocery store and everywhere else who talk to her and tell her how cute she is - she's doing fine. Even though she definitely misses her Daddy! (I miss him more!!)

One last photo of Beatrice - her best impersonation of an Australian in her outfit from Christoph and Emma
