Little Girl Army

What happens when you have 3 little girls under 3 in the house for 3 days?
Answer: Wonderful chaos (x3)

I don't think any of the parents sat down the whole time, but we did have a great time. Plus Beatrice watched Eleanor sit through a book reading and now she likes having books read to her again. Hooray! Peer pressure is a beautiful thing.

It was a gorgeous weekend, if a bit chilly. Luckily the girls had their Little Girl Army matching uniforms!

So of course we spent some relaxing time at Padaro Grill. Some of us were more relaxed than others...

While Beatrice watched every move Eleanor made, she adored Anna and insisted on giving her kisses (which consisted of her lunging at Anna and rubbing her head on Anna's).

The girls had a great time together. The adults did as well.

Beatrice is already looking forward to seeing her cousins again!

Bribing a baby

How do you bribe a sick baby to eat? Snack time in lots of locations!

What else can you do to keep a sick almost-16 month old entertained / distracted when sick? Let her climb stairs. Pretend she's a stuffed animal sleeping.

Let her wear your sunglassess (thanks Sarah B!)

And, of course, dress her up in bunny ears. (Beatrice cracked up when she saw herself in the mirror wearing the ears)

Oh, and did I mention stickers?

It is definitely spring here in Santa Barbara. The sun is bright and the flowers are all in bloom.

Hopefully Beatrice will be feeling better soon. She doesn't look sick in the slightly blurry photo above, but that's what comes from having 10+ boxes of Kleenex scattered throughout the house.

Happy Easter!

Beatrice was a pro at the whole basket-carrying thing at Easter. I didn't manage to get a picture of her carrying 3+ baskets at once, but she did try. Finding eggs was less interesting than carrying the baskets, for sure. Maybe next year when she can eat the candy hidden within, she'll be more excited. Still, she had a great time seeing everyone and being the center of attention whenever she could swing it.

Finally, we managed to get two very cute photos of all 3 girls, after some serious coaxing. Beatrice, Anna and Eleanor (above), and reversed (below)
