The Karens!

KMB and Karen drove down from San Francisco to spend the weekend with us. Beatrice loved them both, but she especially liked Karen's sparkly jewelry. Miss Pinchy Fingers went to town on all her rings and necklaces. And Zack and I had a great time with them (and the 7 or so bottles of wine) too. My favorite thing about both of them? The ladies (minus Beatrice, ah...) went out on Saturday and Sunday shopping. I still didn't manage to find any shoes, even with the Karen's help, but I did get some serious support help - think Bridget Jones' Diary. And I got Beatrice these leg warmers! Aren't they fabulous?? Not tights, so they won't be tight on her tummy, just leg warmers!


Beatrice's new thing is now to smile when the camera comes out. Such a ham. Or perhaps I pull the camera out too much?

Beatrice also got a new pocketbook from Andreja and Urban, all the way from Slovenia. She loves it! She also had fun dragging Karen's travel bag around the house. So helpful.

On Saturday night we got all glammed up and the adults went out for dinner at The Wine Cask.

And this was after we all went to Tupelo Junction Cafe on State Street on Saturday for lunch (yum). Beatrice is doing her very best to eat like a big girl. Don't worry, she only licked the BLT here.

But new foods are in sight! She seems quite ready to try anything. Besides, anything she doesn't like she just spits back out. We call it the honest approach.
