Plus it didn't help that we had to say goodbye to Jane earlier in the week. Sniff, sniff.
While she was here Beatrice discovered some very interesting things. For instance, looking at yourself in the mirror is hilarious! Even better if you squeal at the baby in the mirror. Also the best way to get to know someone? Put your hands on their face and squeeze. And our game of "sit-em-ups" (where we help her to a sitting position) followed by "stand-em-ups" (same idea) now seems to be followed by one step from Beatrice. We didn't introduce that last bit! And finally - drinking from her cup is pretty cool. One-third down the hatch; two-thirds down her front.
The good news? Beatrice seems to be feeling better, and it is finally WARM here. I'm not even planning on a coat for her today! (pants, socks, hat - yes) Today Beatrice got to wear the very first outfit her Daddy and I ever bought for her. Note the total lack of pink. We thought she was going to be a boy! Her range of motion is getting pretty good too, especially with the enticement of a balloon.
"AAAAaaaaaaeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy" Which I intepreted as, "I really really really really want that balloon" but don't yet know how to get to it from here.

"Aha! I've almost got it!" With a little helping nudge from Mommy...
"Hmm...now what do I do?" Still not consistently able to roll from her back to her stomach - even with a balloon inducement. Soon, Beatrice, soon...
Finally, enjoying some stories with her Daddy this morning.
