Amazingly, there are quite a number of Missions around the Bay Area that we haven't visited yet. Local tourism is almost always last, right? So we decided it was a good day for a drive, and headed down to San Jose(ish) to visit Mission Santa Clara. While it was a lovely mission (and a GORGEOUS day with amazing Bay views), we only stayed about 20 minutes. No museum!
(Seriously clear day - that is the view of Mt Diablo from across the Bay!)
But we did have a lovely time outside of the Mission wandering around and playing. Beatrice also discovered her shadow. And I finally understand why everything and everyone must be categorized by Bebe as "Daddy big", "Mommy", "Bebe 'mall":
And if you ask her to say "Cheeseburger" this is what you get:
Lunch was in order after our visit - we went to Half Moon Bay to the brewing company there to meet up with Ryan, Chiara and Chiara's sister Anna ("big Anna" as Beatrice insisted on calling her)
When we arrived in Half Moon Bay, we saw lots of boats out on the water and Beatrice piped up from the backseat, "Dada haircut. Cut cut cut. Boats. Dada haircut." That one took me a minute...but it did look a lot like the area around the place on St Simons where Dada (and everyone else in the family) gets their hair cut!
