When I got home from work today, Sarah B said that Beatrice had quite a dramatic moment. Sarah said she actually had to leave the room so Beatrice wouldn't catch her laughing. It seems B kept trying to hit ("HIT!") Sarah. Sarah just ignored her, and when pressed said, "Oh love pats! How nice." When Beatrice saw she wasn't getting anywhere, she huffed over to the corner, sat down, put herself in Time Out, and had a little cry. After a minute or two, she got up and came over and hugged and kissed Sarah and said "hit, hit, hit". So we've decided no more drama around hitting. She gets it. Now we're just going to ignore it. And hope this phase passes on to something else soon. Maybe something useful like pickpocketing?

Luckily Daddy made it home ("HOME!") in time to read with Beatrice. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more.
