BeBe See

Over the past few weeks we've been getting to know the new and improved, almost two-year-old Beatrice.  She has lots of opinions.  She has lots of questions.  And no matter what you are doing, she'll say very emphatically, "BeBe see, BeBe see, BE SEE, B SEE, B C, BC, BC, BC!!!" until you pick her up and show her whatever it is she thinks you're able to see and she is not.
Beatrice has also started wanting to have a say in her outfits.  She had a great time in her new pink dress.
And one very hot day recently, I had a great time dressing her in a white summer dress.  Beatrice, however, didn't like it.  The minute I walked into another room, she stripped down and put on polka dot pants and a purple flowered top...I tried to reason with her that it was too hot for pants, but I've discovered there is very little reasoning to do with an almost two-year-old.
And then her Jazzercise outfit...don't ask!

Besides moving (is there anything besides moving?  boxes?  packing tape?  ????), we've just been enjoying Beatrice and her take on the world.  I have to admit I've enjoyed some gems from Zach recently too.

***
Pub life:  If we ever have a pub, Zach says we have to name "The Sork & Poon", Beatrice's version of 'fork' and 'spoon'.
***
New words:  Beatrice now "tapes" (using a measuring tape).  The wall is "eight", when she measures it.  Counting goes something like this - "two, two, two, eight ... one".  If you ask her what time it is, it's "ten".  "Will...Jaahhnnneee (Jane)".  "Yesh" (yes, like Sean Connery).  "Guys"  "Spit" (after brushing teeth)  "Girl"  "Big"  "Horsie"  "HOME"

Economizing:  Last night Zach said to me, obviously at the tail end of some internal conversation, "You know, a good way to save money would be to drink more martinis."  Turns out this is compared to bottles of wine.  However, I didn't need to wait for further explanation.  I'm in.  With olives.

"Mouse toot":  The other day Beatrice and Daddy were sitting playing on the floor with her new mouse stuffed animal.  Zach smelled something and reached for Beatrice to check her diaper.  Beatrice informed him, "Daddy, mouse toot".  Not quite, but we loved that she's learning to pass the buck.
