What Beatrice likes

At two and a half Beatrice gets a kick out of a lot of things.  Vehicles are a particular favorite these days.  When we're on the road she'll call out "Prius!...Bug!...Mini Cooper!...Element!" anytime she sees one of those types of cars (note:  there are a gillion Prius cars in Oakland!).  Sarah B got her to say them all on tape.  I may have to take the camera on the road though...there's nothing like speeding down the road and having a tiny voice scream out from the backseat, "PRIUS!  MOMMY, PRIUS OVER THERE!!!  YOU SEE IT?!?"
Another favorite activity is playing in the van (or any parked car).  I have no idea what the fascination is but she LOVES it.  It's more of a treat than anything else we can dream up.  Want her to eat her lunch, wash up and wax the dining room floor?  All I have to do is offer up 30 minutes in the van, and it's done.  And I really, truly have no idea why this is, but sitting in the van with her for 30 (45-60) minutes is TORTURE on every adult that agrees to it.  You'd think it would be relaxing, especially with all those bucket seats, but it isn't.  It takes forever and it is so, so boring.

Sarah also captured on video one of Beatrice's new sayings, "How 'bout that"
Another one she says all the time, "Der you go (there you go)"
Beatrice has started playing 'baby' a bunch.  Wonder why?  Here she is with her "paci" (it's a plastic thing from one of her sippy cups)...something she gave up years ago.
Finally, legos...she wanted me to save her lego castle for Daddy to see last night.  He was so excited that a) she was playing legos and b) she wanted me to save it so he could see it.  So sweet.
