A minor earthquake occurred at 6:45:08 PM (PST) on Friday, November 16, 2007.
The magnitude 3.4 event occurred 5 km (3 miles) SE of downtown Santa Barbara, CA.
The hypocentral depth is 10 km ( 6 miles).
Beatrice took her first earthquake in stride. Asleep in her crib. Zack didn't feel it even though he was doing laundry out in the garage (i.e., standing on a huge concrete slab). I felt it. All 5 seconds of it. I thought, "What in this world is he doing to the laundry out there??"

Glad to hear that Beatrice survived her first earthquake. I remember mine.....what memories!
