We arrived in Georgia and almost immediately Beatrice was settled into her St Simons Island routine. Breakfast at home or the beach house, swimming, lunch, nap, more swimming, cocktail hour, dinner, bath, bed. Repeat. We didn't do much else - it was wonderful!
Of course Grandma Wibbs and Granddaddy Bill kept Beatrice very well entertained (and vice versa). The favorite Beatrice-ism: "You talkin' 'bout jokes?"
The three of them spent a lovely morning together while I worked - going to the library, the park in the Village, and McDonald's for lunch. And of course Beatrice spent ample time harassing poor Molly kitty.
And we all enjoyed the amazing sites around the swamp...this spider was at least 2.5 inches and the spiderweb spanned 6 to 10 feet, depending on how you wanted to count it.
We also enjoyed our visit with Harry. He and Beatrice hit it off, and I had a great time calling him "Granddaddy" and "Baby Daddy" while having lunch at the Cloister.
And Beatrice and I got our hair cut at Lynn's, just like everyone else in the family. Beatrice loved the first 10 minutes, less so the next 10. But the old fashioned hair dryer at the end was a treat for her!
One day Beatrice asked Grandma Wibbs, "Where Bill is?" and after hearing he was next door, she said, totally unprompted, "I love Be-ull"
