PINK POLKA DOTS!

What happens when you put 3 girls in matching pink polka dot dresses?  Your eyes start to cross ....

especially when they all run around...

We trekked to Nanny's house for great birthday brunches for Ellie and Kelsey.  Beatrice even kept her outfit on for over an hour!
We've had a bit of a tough week - I've was gone for the first half of the week in LA and Chicago for work.  Beatrice was not happy about this.  The weekend was good though.

Especially when she got her new frog umbrella from Grandma Elizabeth and Granddaddy Bill.

What else?  Well, we're prepping for another week with me gone for the first half of the week (NYC this time).  Blah, hopefully after this it will stop for a bit!

This is Beatrice "at work" (above) and (below) with her puppy pile ("Honey, Honey's Mommy, Honey's Daddy")

And her note from Mommy...she gets one for each day I'm away.  Sniff.

Mardi Gras

Seems while I was on my quick LA-Chicago work trip (ugh), Beatrice was living it up in New Orleans!  Or rather Uncle Graham was having fun with photoshop.  How many Bebe's do you see?
Answer:  5

Weekend at home

Beatrice has been enjoying some new hairdos and outfits this weekend.  I particularly enjoyed the Saturday morning "sleeping in" hairdos of B and Daddy..."sleeping in" counts if it's till 7am, right?
And this outfit she picked herself...she will now often rifle through her diaper bag and start changing clothes.
And how I convinced her to let me braid her hair this morning I'll never know.
It's been raining for quite a stretch now, so on Saturday when we finally had a short break, we trekked up to The Little Farm celery in hand to feed the goats and cows.
Bea gets such a kick out of it!

Multitasking

The answer to "Why don't you post as many blogs anymore?"
What is perhaps not clear - I'm on a conference call on speaker phone while picking up Beatrice and trying to get in the door.  My colleagues are very understanding!

Visit from the Grands!

Party time!  Though Eleanor couldn't make it to our Valentine's Day brunch, she was able to swing by with Anna later in the day for an impromptu dance party.
Our Valentine's Day waffle brunch was quite the to-do...we put the Waffle King (Tom) to work!

To prepare for the party we decided to fix the dining room table, under close supervision from the Grands and a lot of help from Beatrice's tool set.

We ate lots (Cheeseboard Pizza, Chez Panisse, La Farine, and everything in between) and had lots of fun adventures with Grandma "Wibbs" and Granddaddy "Be-ill".  Beatrice certainly enjoyed bossing them around the house and Oakland:  "Gwanma sit.  Be-ill read, Blue Huckle.  No,no,no sit here."

Luckily there was lots of time for cuddling, especially with the RAIN!
I'm not sure who enjoyed the Steam Trains more - even with the rain and cold - I think it was a three way tie...
Cowgirl Creamery - www.cowgirlcreamery.com - We also drove out to Cowgirl Creamery in the rain.  Yummy...

We had a great time with Grandma "Wibbs" and Granddaddy "Be-ill" - can't wait for our next visit!
