Happy New Year

Happy New Year! It was a gorgeous day in Santa Barbara. Warm, brilliantly sunny, and just the type of day that makes you want to go outside. We possibly even got a little suntanned.

Beatrice and I played peek-a-boo in the front yard (and the garage, house, courtyard...), while Daddy finished up fixing a dresser in the garage.
We feel so gleefully American when we work in our garage. And today one of Zack's colleague's 13 year old daughters called and asked if she could babysit Beatrice (I love 13 year old girls!), so Maisy came over and played with Bea. And Zack and I cleaned and organized and sang patriotic songs in our huge garage.

Beatrice hasn't been feeling all that great. We think it's either that she's teething, or the reaction to the chicken pox vaccine, or that she's suddenly 13 months going on 2 years old...oh the tantrums we're having! Already! Luckily a trip to see the chickens down the street is always entertaining.
