Be Forewarned

Consider yourselves forewarned - we're going skiing all next week, so no pictures until next Saturday at the earliest. We're going to Mammoth (in California) with Jasandra & John and Ryan & Chiara, so I'm sure the wait will be worth it.

This vacation comes not a minute too soon. Zack and I are both exhausted from work, and today Beatrice had her worst day yet of teething. By the time Zack got home both Beatrice and I were fed up (though she was cuter about it than I was).

Poor girl. At least she had fun this morning when she got up and found the Rats from Grandma Mary Ann - Happy New Year!!

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! Beatrice enjoyed the day, though she was still a bit under the weather. Or her new molars were bothering her. It was hard to tell what it was...since she STILL doesn't speak English!

Beatrice's new thing is to blow kisses - so cute!

And also crawling up into her stroller and trying to buckle herself in.


And Daddy finally got his very cool "new" 1969 car! And it runs now!!

Love the palm tree reflections in the hood...so SoCal.



It was a busy day!

Babies and Friends

Beatrice has discovered her dolls. One is called Baby Doll, the other Doll Baby. She picks them up, hugs them, lugs them to the stroller, puts them in, checks to make sure they are seated, kisses them, and drops them on their heads if anything better comes along.


Unfortunately Beatrice came down with a fever in the afternoon. Luckily Sarah B and Bunny were there!

This week Beatrice has also had her first friend over to play at the house in Santa Barbara. She was ok, until Kate started playing with her toys. Especially when Kate touched Doll Baby...


All in all, I still think it was a successful first play-date.

Sunny Sunday

The weather on today was perfect. Beyond perfect. Sunny blue skies, warm. Ah...we went to Kids World, one of the local parks in SB.


It was a very good day.

Saturday afternoon was fun too - we went beer tasting with Laina, Ian and Macaroni (the dog).

Beatrice is now kissing us all the time. She has to say "Mmmmm" before she leans in to kiss you on the lips. So cute.

Tough to see in the photo below, but this is Beatrice at 7:30am pounding away on the miniature piano (and sitting on the stool from Grandma Elizabeth!) that Sarah B got for her. Thanks Sarah B!

Beatrice had a fun day, coloring out in the courtyard and dancing with Dave.
