"Granma Wibbs" and "Bee-ill" arrived safe and sound on Wednesday night.  By 7:05am Thursday morning Beatrice had them both wrapped around her little finger.  On Thursday, we enjoyed a party-breakfast at Rick&Ann's (www.rickandanns.com) with Sarah, Colby and Anna, and a leisurely lounge around the house.  Then during B's nap, Sarah stayed with Beatrice and we headed out to drop off Granddaddy Bill at Amoeba Music to shop till he dropped while Grandma Elizabeth and I went fabric shopping for our new curtains.  Hooray!  After dinner from Zachary's Pizza (www.zacharys.com) that night, we're part-way through our gastronomical tour of Oakland.

Today was a lazy, rainy day but we still managed to squeeze in a trip to La Farine (www.lafarine.com) and Cole Coffee (www.colecoffee.com) for breakfast, a walk to Smokehouse for lunch, and now we're gearing up for dinner at home from our neighbor's homemade sausage - by eating guac and chips...and martinis!  Best of all, Granddaddy Bill has been playing for us - from Barney to the Kingston Trio and my new personal favorite - "The Mommy Song"

Anxiously awaiting

We're anxiously awaiting Grandma Elizabeth and Granddaddy Bill's arrival.  Or "Wizbah" and "Be-ill", as Beatrice has started calling them on the phone.  Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait!

And also...there are lots of back posts in January, if you haven't seen them.  I know I haven't been a great blogger recently.  Too much other stuff going on!

"Silly Bebe"

Now whenever Beatrice drops anything or makes a mess or pretty much anything else, she says, "Silly Bebe".  And whenever I do anything out of line even a little bit, "Silly Mommy".  Everyone can be silly, although my favorite may just be "Silly Sah-wah"

The other day we had to take Jakey out for a walk.  Beatrice was a great babysitter, until she got tired and decided to go inside.  Without Jakey.  Silly Bebe.

Tahoe Weekend

We suited up and headed to Tahoe with John, Jasandra, Ryan, Chiara and Sarah B.  Sarah bought Beatrice some cool girl shades!

It was a gorgeous weekend, and while the snow and skiing wasn't all that great, we still had a fabulous time.

Zack is ready to have Beatrice start learning to ski...they practiced early one morning.

While there was a good bit of playing outside, there was lots of good resting inside too...especially in B's tent

Beatrice loved her pink ski bibs...especially with her cool girl shades.

But her favorite, by far, was John John...here they are looking at Bea's blog.  Seriously.

And there was lots of princess dancing and underpants showing off...

The drive back from Tahoe was a bit longer, but well worth it, especially with a trip to Ikeda's for burgers and pie...  And we even got Beatrice to use the little port-a-potty in the van (no pictures)
